First Customer Ginetta G40
Hillspeed is delighted to confirm it will take delivery of the first of the brand new customer Ginetta G40 race cars when it rolls off the production line in late February.
Ahead of the team’s maiden season of competition in the popular Ginetta Junior Championship, Hillspeed’s commitment to the popular junior sportscar series has been welcomed by the Leeds based marque.
Having concentrated on carving out a successful presence in the ranks of Formula Renault in recent years, Hillspeed is expanding in 2010 into the Ginetta Junior Championship which, like Formula Renault UK, races as part of the high profile Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship package.
Team principal Richard Ollerenshaw says: “We believe the first G40 will be with us by the end of February and we then plan to take to the track as soon as possible after that. It will be an advantage to take delivery of the very first car, we’re certainly very keen to get to work on it. Until then, we’ll continue to test with the old G20 car to give drivers as much track time as possible.”
