GYG Karting Awards

Hillspeed drivers James Theodore and Seb Morris both had plenty to celebrate at the recent GYG Karting Awards Dinner where the Liberty Properties-backed pairing received silverware for their 2009 title-winning campaigns.

Alongside his successful season in Formula Renault BARC with Hillspeed last year, where he finished the championship sixth overall, Telford-based 18-year-old Theodore also won the Dragon Kart Club Senior Max Championship.

Marford 14-year-old Morris, meanwhile, won the Dragon Kart Club Mini Max Championship in 2009 and this year will make his competitive car racing debut with Hillspeed in the British Touring Car Championship-supporting Ginetta G40 category.

Hillspeed’s Richard Ollerenshaw joined the talented youngsters at the recent awards function which also featured a team display comprising Theodore’s 2009 BARC-specification Formula Renault and the Ginetta Junior car Morris tested last year.
