Highly regarded BRDC Formula 4 Championship team Hillspeed is keen to hear from drivers considering participation in November’s newly announced Winter Series, with three seats currently available at the race-winning squad for the end-of-year campaign.

Having enjoyed considerable success during last year’s inaugural BRDC F4 Winter Championship with drivers Jake Cook and Kieran Vernon, Hillspeed is determined to mount a bid for the 2014 title. Cook claimed two wins on his way to the Vice-Champion’s position while Vernon bagged one victory and two other podium finishes from the four races he contested on the final weekend.

Providing the perfect opportunity for new drivers to try-out BRDC F4 machinery, as well as enabling existing F4 competitors to evaluate different teams, the Winter Championship is an important part of the racing calendar for Richard Ollerenshaw’s outfit.

“We’re very much looking forward to this year’s BRDC F4 Winter Championship, especially after such a strong run last November with Jake and Kieran”, he commented, “We’ve put together some very competitive deals and our aim is to run all three cars if the demand is there.

“It goes without saying, we’re keen to hear from any interested drivers who want to try out BRDC F4 for the first time or, indeed, those who may already be competing in the series this year. Our target is the same as always, to go out there and try and win races and, ultimately, the championship.”

With a prize fund worth £10,000 having been announced by category organiser MotorSport Vision, the eight-race Winter Championship will begin on 8th/9th November at Snetterton 300 Circuit in Norfolk before moving on to Brands Hatch Indy Circuit on 22nd/23rd November.

As in 2013, the format of the respective race weekends will remain the same with one 20-minute qualifying session and two races per day. There will also be two hours of exclusive testing, at no charge, on the Friday before each event. Further semi-exclusive testing will also be available.

Whoever becomes 2014 BRDC F4 Winter Champion will receive a free-of-charge entry to all rounds of the 2015 main season championship. The Vice-Champion and third placed driver will receive a 50% and 25% reduction from their season entry fees respectively.
