HILLSPEED REVEALS COMPREHENSIVE BRITISH F3 TESTING OPPORTUNITIES
Drivers interested in competing in the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship, or embarking on a structured testing program ahead of graduation into the category in 2017, are being presented with a great opportunity by top team Hillspeed to gain vital experience in the latest Tatuus-Cosworth car.
Already working with European and World Championship Karting graduate Sasakorn “Cutter” Chaimongkol ahead of the 16-year-old Thai driver’s planned debut in British F3 later in the year, the team has responded to enquiries from a number of racers by producing a range of packages.
Perfect for competitors eyeing British F3 – formerly known as BRDC Formula 4 – as the next step on their career ladder, and those seeking driver development opportunities at the wheel of a state-of-the-art single-seater, Hillspeed is welcoming enquiries from drivers across Europe and further afield.
Testing is available immediately in the Derbyshire squad’s three BRDC F3 cars with individual days and multi-day packages possible. Extensive driver development, something the team has long been renowned for with success stories including current British GT Championship racer and two-time McLaren Autosport BRDC Award finalist Seb Morris, is also available with a range of options.
“With the championship now officially rebranded as the new British F3, the position of the category is crystal clear for drivers in Ford MSA Formula, ADAC Formula 4 and other FIA F4 championships who were previously a little unsure of our position on the single-seater ladder”, commented team principal Richard Ollerenshaw.
“The Tatuus-Cosworth is a fantastic car, much quicker and with a lot more aero than the FIA F4 cars, so it’s the perfect next step for drivers currently racing in any of the F4 categories. For any looking to race in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship or GP3 Series down the line, testing and racing in BRDC British F3 offers perfect career development.”
Ollerenshaw added: “We’re offering a wide variety of packages and opportunities, with options to fit around existing racing commitments, so this really is the ideal time for drivers to get in touch to put in place testing plans and to also investigate the variety of race packages we have available for the current season.”
