Customer Support Program Offered by Hillspeed
 
Hillspeed confirmed at the recent Autosport Show that for the 2010 season it will offer tailor made customer support programs for the Autosport Young Guns Championship. The program will be available to owners who require any level of technical and operational support needed to run the car.
 
Commenting on the teams decision Richard Ollerenshaw said that "Drivers choosing this championship will in many cases be making their first steps in motorsport. Given the present economic situation the option for a driver to move straight into a team on a full arrive and drive package may not be financially possible, despite the obvious advantages. We feel that offering the full benefits of working with a team, but allowing the driver to choose which services they actually require positions us to meet with the tight budget restrictions all drivers will be facing this season. I would like to feel a driver coming to us could have all of the benefits of our equipment and experience for fractionally more than what it would cost to run the car on a private basis".
 
Hillspeed intends to offer programs ranging from trackside support on single test days through to season long arrive and drive packages. There will also be storage, transportation, preparation and setup services offered from basic to extensive. "There is no reason that a cost effective championship such as this must have services that do not meet with the customers expectations. The services that we will provide will not be any different to those provided to our custmoers in the BTCC support races or any other championship" said Ollerenshaw.
 
Hillspeed will also offer driver development programs to its drivers in the Autosport Young Guns Championship to allowing them to progress through into the teams Formula Renault squads in future years.
