Formula Renault Test
Reigning T-Cars Champion Luciano Bacheta has begun his journey along the ladder to single-seater stardom, and is clearly a talented young man in a very considerable hurry.
The Essex ace is a member of the Silverstone-based Race Drivers Academy (RDA), which since its formation in 2000 has offered driver development packages to aspiring young stars, taking in among other essential skills race and track craft, race car set-up, media training and data logging. At the close of the 2006 season, the RDA's cohort of 20 drivers had notched up an impressive total of 57 race wins and five titles.
“It's a Government-funded scholarship provided to up-and-coming young motorsport stars,” Bacheta told Crash.net. “It involves every aspect of motorsport, both practice and theory. We cover everything from mental preparation, nutrition and fitness to on-track practical days. It takes place at Loughborough College, and I'm lucky enough to be part of it.
