Hillspeed confirm Team Sponsors at Silverstone - 06.03.06
Hillspeed confirmed two sponsors at last week’s official Formula Renault test at Silverstone. The Derbyshire based team intend to run cars in both the BARC and UK Formula Renault Championship during the 2006 season.

Silverstone proved to be busy for the team on a commercial aspect as it confirmed two sponsors. The team confirmed that it will receive support from a Chinese manufacturing company who will launch its range of products here in the United Kingdom around the mid point of the season. The second confirmed partner to the team is the clothing company ‘Dodgy Gear’ who will act as the official casual clothing supplier to the team and its drivers.

‘We are very pleased to have formed a partnership with Dodgy Gear, who have not previously been involved in motorsport. Both companies felt each could offer the other valuable opportunities in different market sectors’ said Richard Ollerenshaw. ‘The association will see us actively promote the new must have brand and image over the UK at the circuits we visit. Our objectives are to work with the management team at Dodgy Gear to increase awareness of their clothing range and ultimately drive up their sales. We shall be introducing a joint Dodgy Gear/Hillspeed range of items later in the season that can be purchased online’.

Speaking on the deals Richard Ollerenshaw commented that ‘considerable effort had been spent over the winter months talking to various companies about utilising motorsport to promote their products and services’. The team’s deals are set to continue into the 2007 season and beyond, helping the team progress and develop.
